Vernon Gholston is a college Defensive Lineman, currently playing with the Ohio State Buckeyes. He has entered into the 2008 NFL Draft. predicted to be in the top 10.

Gholston has played linebacker and changed to defensive lineman in his senior year at High School. Being able to play different positions will help in the drafting.

While playing with Ohio he tied two previous records for quarterback sacks in a game, and 2 weeks later he had three sacks against their rivals the Michigan Wolverines enabling them to win the game. Gholston is one of two players that have sacked All-American Jake Long.He won the Chuck Bednarik Award given to the best defensive collegiate football in the country. Also received The Ted Hendricks Award award for being the best college defensive end.was selected for the College Football All-America Team.
