Guide Note:The Clintons are a Montana based band that has written a ballad, titled A Love Song to Hillary Clinton, addressed to the New York senator and presidential candidate, with lyrics such as "Hey, Hill, if you ever dump Bill, come date me," and "Strong women turn me on. It's sexy when a woman knows exactly what she wants. And you're that girl. I think you're great. You're taken for the moment, so I'll just have to wait."
The band was formed during the presidency of Bill Clinton, although the members assert that the choice of name was "entirely random", and has no relation to the former president or his wife. Band leader John McLellan said the idea for the song came after jokes about Monica Lewinsky resurfaced during the presidential campaign.
Their website describes their styles as , " Inspired by the soft, sensitive songwriting style of John Mayer; the solid, funky, quirkiness of the Red Hot Chili Peppers; and the in-your-face, loud-and-proud proclamations made famous by country stars, Big & Rich. They warn potential listeners that they're not for everyone, with a sound that tends to be ... "a bit too diverse to attract a mainstream audience."
