Guide Note:Texas Hold 'Em is a downloadable game for the Microsoft Xbox 360 via the Xbox Live Arcade service. In North America it is sold for 800 points or aproximately $10.00 US. It is one of the most popular card games available on Xbox Live despite not being reviewed well, the game has come a long way since it's debut in August of 2006. It receives updates regularly to squash any bugs that might pop up. It has a large global community as players from all over the world compete over Xbox Live.
Gameplay: Gameplay in Texas Hold 'Em is rather simple and very easy to pick up. The game is a multiplayer game by default whether you are playing the computer or another player. Each player is dealt two cards, also known as pockets. These are your cards to use to play. The dealer then deals three cards, called "The Flop". These are community cards meaning anyone can use these cards in addition to the pocket cards that have been dealt to each player. The player can make any kind of hand using his or her personal cards and those dealt on the "The Flop". The next card is called "The Turn" or "Fourth Street". Once again, this card is a community card. The fifth and final card dealt is called "The River". This is the last card dealt and it is up to the player to make their hand if any. Betting is standard as far as poker rules is concerned via check, raise, and call.
