Stephen Nichols is an American actor in both television and films. Turning down an art scholarship to Ohio State University, he traveled west and studied Yoga. He lived as a monk working to prepare meatless meals for the monks and the nuns in a Hollywood ashram nonprofit charity. He endured three years of celibacy along with a diet that consisted only of ice cream. He studied the films of Truffaut and Bergman and moved on to be able to study at the Theater Academy of Los Angeles City College where he studied for two years.

Stephen Nichols easily adapted to stage performances. He was awarded with three Drama-logue and two L.A.weekly Awards for his portrayal of Donald Bashor a real life murderer in Pieces of Time, Delirious, and the Lizard King which was a portrayal of Jim Morrison during the last hours of his life. Nichols received a Maddy Award for his role in The Dead Boy.

Stephen Nichols played the role of Steve (Patch) Johnson on Days of Our Lives. This role earned him in high regard and esteem as one of the most notable presences on television. He received an Emmy nomination and fiveSoap Opera Digest Best Actor Awards. His love interest on the show, Mary Beth Evans, Kayla has awarded both of them as the most popular twosome on Days of Our Lives.
He has appeared in numerous television shows some of which include Matlock, L.A. Law, Empty Nest, and Jesse James.
Stephen Nichols has also appeared in several feature films such as Choices, with Demi Moore, Soapdish, with Kevin Kline, and A Hard Rain, with John Mahoney.

He is very much into developing video and mobile phone content. He has also directed stage productions and even wrote and directed Get The Dime. He will be putting more of his directors talent to work on the next film entitled Fear of Falling.
