Tools and Tips I Use to do SeRP's:

  1. Always be thinking about efficiency - I use two 24" inch screens, one in portrait the other in landscape.  The one in portrait mode is the one I search on, the landscape mode screen is used to edit the SeRP directly.
  2. Use the Green House Guide Tool - Very effective tool.  I love it because I don't have to worry about formatting.  w00t!
  3. Use Firefox- I use firefox but, only because I moded it to run faster.  Check out the firefox page on Mahalo to learn how to change Firefox to run faster.
  4. Run in Verticals - This is obvious but, it helps me to stay under something I really know.  It also is a lot faster to search for.
  5. Change Google - I changed my search preferences on Google so that it shows me a 100 search results per page, this way I know once I reach the bottom that I have gone at least 10 pages in.  It also improves efficiency by cutting the time to hit the next page button.  (You would be surprised by how much).
  6. Create a Checklist - I created a simple checklist that I quickly run through before I submit.  Hopefully, this eliminates any stupid errors that might have my SeRP sent back.
  7. Download Extensions for Firefox - I have been experimenting with tools that will help me work faster.  The two that I have found that work best, are Adblock Plus and Cooliris Previews .  Adblock Plus speeds up loading time by removing ads and Cooliris Previews allows you to preview links with in a "windows".  Cooliris Previews has been an awesome tool.  I use its "stacks" tool to quickly select links that I think will be useful in my SeRP.  I highly recommend this tool.
  8. Get a Good Wireless Keyboard and Mouse - Do I need to say anymore?

Good Luck!
