Howdy, ya'll! I'm a Texan living in Hollywoodland, where I can gaze out my window at the lonely sign in the hills. I'm an avid reader and aspiring writer --working on my first novel and trying to get myself motivated to write scripts. I love research, even in those days of yore when it required heading to the library. I loved the first and only research paper I had to write -- The effects of gambling in the sport of baseball -- probably because I got to sit down in the dusty archives at the University pilfering through old microfilm reels. These days I mostly research historic events that give me ideas for my novels and family history, but since joining Mahalo I've been working solely on Entertainment SeRPs. I love television and film, and it has been a great place to start. Next I want to move on to literature and history. When I'm not writing and researching I work as a freelance location scout and production coordinator. Random facts: I love going to the horseraces and when in Vegas hang out solely in the sports book. I've traveled most of the United States at some point in my car. I dig reading non-fiction books and am currently reading one on Rats. I love the snow and thunderstorms. I spend the majority of my winter longing for baseball season to start back up, at which point I get the MLB package and glue myself to the television every night. Of the few SeRPs I've completed so far my favorites are ''There Will Be Blood'' and ''Fast Money''. I'm a huge Paul Dano fan and can't wait to see him as a crazy turn-of-the-century preacher. The film was shot in Marfa, Texas, which I've been tempted to off-road to on my various trips down Interstate 10. The place is known for the 'Marfa lights,' some strange geological phenomenon that people like to attribute to extraterrestrials. Beautiful country though.
