Guide Note: Sinead O'Connor is an Irish-born singer who broke into the industry on college radio in the late 1980s. Her shaved head made her an easily recognizable figure and she gained mainstream notoriety after tearing up a picture of the Pope John Paul during a live performance on Saturday Night Live in 1992. More recently she collaborated with Massive Attack on their album, 100th Window.
