Guide Note:
Shin Megami Tensei Persona 3 FES (FES is short for festival) is an expansion pack of the original Persona 3. There is 30+ hours of extra gameplay as well as new events and added cutscenes after the ending of the original game. Other additions include added personas, updated battle and weapons system, and a system that allows you to change your character's clothing. The game is a standalone and does not require the Persona 3 game to play, however those who do have a save file will be able to transfer some of their save data. Persona 3 was acclaimed as the RPG of 2007.
Story:
After the Shadows were defeated, there was peace in the school. However, there are more troubling problems afoot. A month after the final battle, March 31, 2010, the clock strikes 12 and it seems that the Shadow Hour is upon the students again. Aegis is now the lead character and she is approached by another android who tells her that she is surrounded by danger and she is again thrust into a new Dark Hour. What exactly happened after the battle and why is there still danger? All of these questions and more are answered in this game.
Battle System:
As is common with many RPGs, Persona 3 FES runs on a turn-based system. This means that when you have a battle with an enemy you take turns. Generally speaking you have first attack and you are able to choose from a multitude of skills, items, and spells depending on your character. A turn-based system requires a decent amount of strategy as you must focus on your character's needs (health, magic, your teammates' needs, and of course defeating the monster.
