Sedrick Ellis just completed his senior year at USC Trojans Football, and has entered the 2008 NFL Draft as a defensive tackle.

Ellis was born in Chino, California, and went to Chino High School. Was selected to attend the University of Southern California in 2003. About midseason in his first year as a Trojan he had to take a medical redshirt.He had suffered a ankle fracture that required surgery.
Through the 2004-06 seasons, he appeared in 34 games, got 86 tackles with 16 of them for losses. and nine sacks. During the 2006 season he had to miss 3 games after tearing cartilage in his right knee that required arthroscopic surgery.
Going into the 2007 season he started all 13 games. He played as a nose guard and excelled in that position. He had 58 tackles and seven pass breakups. Fluid on knee, that had to be drained but didn't seem to stop him. 2006-07 he was awarded the Morris Trophy given to the top defensive lineman in the Pac 10 Conference. 2007 had him with several awards including 2007 AP, SI.com, American Football Coaches Association, Walter Camp Football Foundation, Football Writers Association of America and Sporting News All-America First-Team.

His next level will be an asset to any team. He will be able to play nose tackle or defensive tackle. He was the strongest player on the Trojans and can bench press over 500 Lbs. Built himself up as never used weights until he was 16 years old. hard worker and tough.Limited schematically and want fit in just ant team. This player has the ability and with maturity and training will go far.
