Roberto Clemente was a baseball player for the Pittsburgh Pirates from 1955-1972. He was the first Latin player selected to the National Baseball Hall of Fame. Known as much for his philanthropy off the field as his talent, he died in a plane crash while delivering supplies to earthquake victims in Nicaragua.
