[edit] Description
A quiche pan is recognized as having scalloped edges. This certain bakeware can be found in various sizes and colors. Quiche pans can be square or rectangle, but traditional quiche pans are usually round. They are made from metal or ceramic. Ceramic quiche pans are safe to use in the microwave. Some quiche pans have removable bottoms for releasing delicate pastry from the pan to ensure the baked dish from breaking; which are also known as tart pans. Washing instructions vary according to the material make-up of the pan. Some need to be hand washed with a soft dishcloth or sponge and some are dishwasher safe.
Quiche pans can be used to cook fruit tarts, pies, and quiches.
