Game Info: When your in single player mode, it continues the story line of Quake 2. Matthew Kane is a marine and a member of the Rhino Squad. This squad is assigned to takeover the cyborg alien Strogg's planet. In the middle of this invasion, Kane's ship is hit and it crashes in the war zone, where he is separated from the squad. At some point, Matthew finds them again and helps to defeat Strogg by capturing and destroying aircraft hangars and their defense systems. After this fight, the remaining marines and Matthew find their way back to the USS Hannibal for their next mission. Now they must get into Strogg's Central Communications Hubs, called Tetranod, with a bomb in hopes of confusing the Strogg. After many of his men die, Matthew and two of his fellow comrades, Private Johann Strass and Lance Corporal Nikolai Slidjonvitch, are left to complete the mission. When they reach Tetranod, they are met by the new Makron, Skogg's leader, and Matthew is knocked out. Upon awakening he finds that he is strapped down to a conveyor belt in Strogg's hospital, used to turn the captured into protein food or Strogg Units. While there, most of his anatomy is replaced with bio-mechanical parts. Before he is transformed into a Skogg, the Rhino Squad rescue Matthew Kane. While he is trying to escape, Kane is met with his former commander, Lieutenant Scott Vass who is now a Skogg. After beating Voss, Kane and the remaining marines make it back to the Hannibal. Realizing that Kane could now get into Skogg places, they come up with a new plan to reach the Nexus Core. Kane reaches the core, destroys it and returns back to the Hannibal, where he gets orders for his next mission.
