As Prince of Persia is not a continuation of the previous Ubisoft games, the story is completely changed.
You play as the Prince of Persia, who is not actually a prince, but a thief and a nomad. During a journey he is swept into a sandstorm in the desert, and ends up in some sort of walled garden. He finds a girl, named Elika, and they travel to the center of the garden, where the Tree of Life is. However, their arrival is met by the destruction of the tree, and in turn the release of Ahriman, the god of darkness. The Prince and Elika then fight to reclaim cities lost to Ahriman and his forces.2 3
[edit] Gameplay
Much of the game revolves around the fighting and acrobatics mechanics.
The Prince carries a claw which is used for fighting and climbing up and sliding down walls. He also wields a long sword which is his main weapon.
Included in the combat is a weapon combo system, in which the player may stack up attacks to perform a certain move. Elika, also, is a fighter and helps the Prince defeat enemies.
