Guide Note: 15-year NFL New York Giants veteran quarterback Phil Simms is now the lead analyst for the NFL on CBS. Simms led the Giants to their first SuperBowl victory over the Denver Broncos in Super Bowl XXI, and was named its MVP. He retired after shoulder surgery in the 1993 off-season and has enjoyed a sucessful career as a sports commentator. Sports Illustrated named him as the NFL's "Most Underrated Quarterback" in their August 27, 2001 issue.
