He introduced his diet principles in 2001 with publication of The Wrinkle Cure, which maintained that this diet could prevent and reduce wrinkles.3 In 2002, The Perricone Prescription added the claim that an anti-inflammatory diet could combat heart disease and cancer.4 The Perricone Promise focused on the diet's abilities to slow aging and improve mood.2 He reissued the diet again in 2005, where The Perricone Weight Loss Diet promised weight loss without losing body tone.5
[edit] Advanced Glycation End Products
In 2007, he released Ageless Face, Ageless Mind which claimed that he had discovered the cause of age related memory loss — Advanced Glycation End Products (AGE)s — which can be fought by utilizing his anti-inflammatory diet. These AGEs, he maintains, are also a cause of heart disease, cancer, diabetes and wrinkles.6
