Guide Note:Okami Wii is the ported version of Okami, a Role-Playing game developed by Ready at Dawn Studios and published by Japanese video game giant Capcom. Okami originally debuted on the Sony PS2, and will now be available this spring on the highly popular Nintendo Wii.
Game Story and Setting: Although Okami is also considered a action and adventure game, it is also and role playing game as well. The game takes place during unspecified periods of Japanese history. The game can be identified with it's hints of Japanese myths and folklore. The graphic design is unlike any other game to date with a mix of cell shaded graphics that are seen frequently in comic books and Japanese traditional art. Okami also sports one of the most fantastic soundtracks out there that rival those of Final Fantasy and The Legend of Zelda series. The soundtrack alone encompasses five disks, which can be bought separately.
Gameplay: Okami Wii sports a different approach to the role playing and adventure game genre. While it mixes both perfectly the Nintendo Wii versions gameplay is different than that of the Sony PS2 version. The controls are that of an artist. Using the Nintendo Wii's Nunchuck and Wii Remote you paint and use brush strokes in the game. This is definitely something that is outside the norm but suited for a console like the Nintendo Wii.
