Guide Note: Mark Kerr is a professional American Mixed Martial Artist. Mark started wrestling in high school which earned him Ohio State champion. While attending Syracuse University in 1992, Mark wrestled and became the Champion of Division one, he was also a Division One All American. Mark was the USA Senior Freestyle champion of 1994. He became interested in wrestling to make money. Mark's first professional mixed martial arts fight was in 1997 at the World Vale Tudo Championship, where he won against Paul Varelens, Mestre Hulk, and Fabio Gurgel. He won Ultimate Fighting Championship 14 and the Ultimate Fighting Championship 15 heavyweight Tournaments in 1997. In 1998 Mark began fighting in Pride Fighting Championships. In 2003 HBO did a documentary on Mark's fighting career, addiction to pain killers and the aspects of mixed martial arts, the documentary was titled "The Smashing Machine: The Life and Times of Mark Kerr". After some time off from fighting Mark decided in 2006 to return to mixed martial arts. In 2007 Mark began fighting in the World Cage Fighting Organization (WCO).
