Guide Note:Lily Tomlin is an American actress and comedian. Her early career on Rowan and Martin's Laugh-In helped to create many beloved characters which included Ernestine the telephone operator and Edith Ann the five year old. Characters that she still performs to this day. She has stared in well reviewed movies which include the Nine to Five, The Incredible Shrinking Woman and All of Me which also stared her friend Steve Martin. She is an ardent feminist and an advocate of gay and lesbian rights.
