Guide Note:
Joe Strummer, was the co-founder, composer, singer and guitarist of the punk bands The Clash and The Mescaleros. Strummer was characterized as being very close to his fans and for creating The Carbon Neutral Company, which is an organization dedicated to tree planting around the world in order to combat global warming. He died victim of undiagnosed congenital heart defect at age 50.
