Guide Note:
Indigestion, also called dyspepsia, is another name for upset stomach caused by either too high or low acid content in the stomach. It really isn't considered a disease but rather a collection of symptoms. Indigestion occurs after eating too fast, during stress,or eating fatty foods. It is also common during pregnancy. Common symptoms are lack of appetite, burning in lower stomach, belching, gas, heartburn, nausea, and bloating. Any age or gender can suffer from Indigestion.
Every one has an occasional upset stomach so it shoudn't be a health concern. However, if severe symptoms are present like vomiting, weight loss, Indigestion may be a sign of a more serious condition. Mild Indigestion can be controlled with and over-the-counter medications. See your doctor if the symptoms linger for more than a few weeks.
