- It is estimated that there are approximately 10 million Identical Twins in the world
- When one egg is fertilized by one sperm cell, it then divides and separates then two identical cells will result
- About 1% of twins result in conjoined twins
- Identical Twins usually look exactly alike, except they do not have the same fingerprints
- Only about 3 pairs of twins per 1,000 deliveries occur as a result of natural conception
