How to Edit Your Greenhouse Profile

[edit] Uploading an Avatar

• First, go to WeeWorld. There you can build an avatar that looks like you. You don't have to sign up for an account to build one, but if you decide not to sign up for an account, be careful not to lose your work or you will have to start over from scratch.

• Guidelines for your WeeMee:

1. To stay with the theme of Mahalo, put the beach scene or underwater scene in the background.
2. Try to make your avatar actually look like you.
3. Don't add too many outlandish accessories, as they can be distracting.

• Once you are happy with your WeeMee, make a screenshot of the head and shoulders of it. Simply press Apple + Shift + 4 and drag the cursor in a square over the portion you want to grab.

• The screen grab will save to your desktop. Rename it and make sure it saved as either a jpg, png, or gif file.

• Then open iPhoto or a similar image editing program and import your file into the program. You can do this with a simple drag and drop.

• Double click on the image to edit it. You need to change the size to 100 by 100 pixels.

• To do this in iPhoto, where it says "constrain" at the bottom, select custom from the menu, and enter 100 x 100.

• A box appears that you can move to frame your image. Once you have the right area framed, click crop. You can save the image by pressing done, then drag the image onto the desktop and replace the original file.

• Now you are ready to upload. Make sure you are logged in to Greenhouse and go to your profile page.

• Click on "upload your profile images", select "browse", find your file on the desktop, and click open. Then click save.
  • It may take some time for the picture to appear in your profile, so give the system some time before you assume it didn't go through and try again.

[edit] Editing Your Biography

• To edit your bio, simply click on "Edit your Bio". There is an extensive toolbar to help you customize your biography. Here you can insert links to your favorite serps on Mahalo and Greenhouse and tell the Greenhouse community a little about yourself.
  • We recommend you carefully spell check your entry to make sure it is up to Mahalo standards. You can easily insert a link by highlight a word, clicking on the chain link icon and filling in the fields.
