Guide Note: Hidalgo is based on a true story about a cowboy, who during the 1890's, competes against the Arabian people and their Noble, Pure-bred horses, with his Mustang Horse in a 3000-mile race. Hidalgo, an "impure" horse, by the Arab standards, was a longshot to win the race but his endurance over miles of dangerous terrain, will to survive the deadly conditions, and his undying loyalty to his rider were what made him a true winner.
