Guide Note:Grain Milk is a non-dairy beverage made from grain. The grain has usually been fermented before being used to make the "milk". Any type of grain can be used; rye milk and oat milk are the most common commercially available grain milks. Since grain milks are based on grain, not animal products, they will all have a higher carbohydrate content, and lower protein content than animal milk. Commercially available grain milks may be fortified with vitamins and calcium.
