Guide Note:Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles or “FF: CC” is the first title in the “Crystal Chronicles” series of games that first appeared on the Nintendo GameCube in 2004. The game was developed by The Game Designers Studio and published by Japanese RPG giant Square Enix, although at the time of the games release, Square had yet to partner up with the Enix company who had been responsible for the ‘’Dragon Quest’’ or “Dragon Warrior” games. This was also the first RPG to incorporate GameCube and GameBoy Advance compatibility
Story:Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles follows several quests with various races, which are fictional in the fantasy sense. The quests all have the same objective or goal, and that is to collect magical crystals to save their world from a poisonous gas.
Gameplay:The gameplay in Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles is really unique as mentioned before that this was the first role playing game to incorporate the GameCube with the GameBoy Advance. The gameplay for the “Crystal Chronicles” series is a complete opposite to that of it’s elder franchise in that it is not turn based combat (each side takes a turn deciding how to attack, defend, or cast a spell), but is real time combat, which is similar to the combat systems seen in Kingdom Hearts(Another Square Enix Project). Aside from the gameplay the game features graphics, which really stretch the capabilities of the GameCube. The game itself opened a lot of new areas for this new franchise. Almost as popular as the game became, the soundtrack became another part of the game that the public openly embraced.
