Doctor Zhivago is a film directed by David Lean in 1965. Boris Pasternak is the Author of the book that the film is loosely based on. The film takes place in 1905-1922, the years of Bloody Sunday, World War I and the Russian Revolution, the overthrow of Emperor Nicholas II and the establishment of the Soviet Union.
