[edit] Early Years
Born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania in November 9th, 1979. Attended and played for his Conestoga High School in Berwyn, Pa., where he was named MVP in both his junior and senior years. Attended Wake Forest University where he earned a double major in both psychology and sociology. While there he continued his baseball with the Demons Deacons and was awarded the First Team AA-American and First Team All-ACC.
[edit] On the Road to the Big Leagues
After turning down his first draft offer in 2001 by the Tampa Bay Rays, he was nominated in the 2002 amateur draft and signed with the Toronto Blue Jay.
After working his way through the minor leagues he made his major league debut with Toronto in 2004. In the 2005 season he was traded to the Milwaukee Brewers. In his first season with the Brewers he started 32 times and set career highs in every category. In the 2007 season he went 12-10 in 33 games with 31 of the starting pitcher. Second year in row for career highs for victories. Throws pitches everything with good command and poise, has a quality curveball and decent change-up and slider with a solid fastball in the low 90's.
