Guide Note: The Dartmoor Pony is a rare, endangered breed of pony that was originally developed in England. At this time there is estimated to be only 2 to 3,000 Dartmoors in the world and only around 200 living in the United States. Since the Dartmoor Pony is an endangered breed a herd of wild Dartmoor Ponies is being preserved and protected in the Dartmoor National Park, located in the United Kingdom.
