Dan Connor is a two-time All-American football linebacker, who is being considered in the 2008 NFL Draft. Connor played at Penn State University, and is considered to be one of the best linebackers in the nation.

At Strath Haven High School, Connor was captain of the football team and voted MVP, in his freshman year. In 2002, he played a part in winning the state championship. In his senior year, Connor rushed for 1,807 yards scoring 28 touchdowns. His total record of 4,556 yards rushing with 77 touchdowns was a high school record. Connor lettered in football, basketball and track while attending school.

Connor enrolled at Penn State University in 2004, and started 36 of his total
45 games played. He holds the college record of a total of 419 tackles made, along with 145 stops. As a freshman, Connor finished second on the team with 85 tackles.
In 2005, Connor started six games of the nine that he played in, making 76 tackles., then in 2006, played all thirteen games. As a senior, Connor finished seventh in the nation in tackles which led the conference. Connor majored in crime law and justice while attending college.

Dan Connor is ranked second best as a linebacker prospect for the draft, and ranked 23 overall for the best player. ESPN and the NFL predict three teams the Connor might be drafted to. The three teams are the San Diego Chargers, the San Fransisco 49ers, or the New York Giants.
