Guide Note: The Dalmatian was bred to act as coach dogs, which would run under or along side horse drawn carriages. They are high energy dogs that have the endurance to keep up with horses all day long, so in a household they need a lot of exercise. In America the Dalmatian is well known as a "firedog" because of it's history of working along side the horse drawn fire engines back in England.
