Guide Note
B-Boy is a rhythm music game for the PS2 and the PSP. The game was developed by European based FreeStyle Games and published by PlayStation parent company Sony Computer Entertainment.
Story:
B-Boy is a breakdancing game similar to Dance Dance Revolution. B-Boy is the name of the hip-hop culture as well as the video game. A B-Boy is a person who is devoted to the hip-hop culture and its many aspects, which include breakdancing and choices of clothes. As the game is more of a genre in its own, the game itself does not have a definite story line. Due to the culture of the game, the game represents all aspects of this hip-hop culture.
Gameplay:
As B-Boy begins you must create your own B-Boy to your liking and then you use him to do battle against other dancers. After you create your dancer, you will select a battle mode, either a one-on-one or two-on-two battle. You choose which venue and character you would like to do battle with. There are about 20 levels to choose from including the subway, a gym, and the harbor. The game does feature celebrities from the actual real-life B-Boy universe. Throughout the game special moves and various amounts of new clothing can be unlocked. As you dance a circle is displayed around your feet, small symbols will appear and the goal is to hit the shoulder buttons on the controller with the correct timing to execute the move correctly. After a few seconds it is your opponents turn and he does the same. The person who performs the best takes the round and the person who wins two rounds will win the battle.
