Arthur Streeton, who was an Australian painter, died in 1943. He was recognized for his landscape paintings, as well as being a Master Outdoor Painter.1

During a restoration of the painting Spring an image of a nude female was found under x-ray, and it had the name Florry Walker inscribed on it. It has been on the painting for 130 years.3 Love notes were also seen on the painting that were written by Streeton and then covered up.4 (June 12, 2007)
