  • November 18, 1953: Born in Northampton, England
  • 1982: V for Vendetta begins publication in Warrior
  • 1983: Warrior folds and V for Vendetta is left unfinished; Moore is hired by DC Comics to work on Swamp Thing
  • 1984: The Ballad of Halo Jones premieres in 2000AD
  • 1986: Watchmen begins publication at DC Comics
  • 1988: Batman: The Killing Joke is published by DC Comics and V for Vendetta returns.
  • 1989: The first volume of From Hell is published
  • 1990: Creates publishing company, Mad Love, and publishes Big Numbers
  • 1991: Lost Girls begins publication in Taboo #5
  • 1995: Begins work on various Image Comics publications
  • 1999: Moore launches America's Best Comics imprint through Wildstorm Entertainment where he publishes League of Extraordinary Gentlemen Vol. 1
