Guide Note:The Afghan Hound is a member of the sighthound family. This breed has been described as "the king of dogs, native to Afghanistan. The first Afghan hound came to England in the early 1900s and was admitted to the American Kennel club September 14, 1948. They make fantastic family pets, with a gentle disposition and not overly hyper when greeting new people.
