[edit] What is the Mahalo Greenhouse?

• The Mahalo Greenhouse is where talented Greenhouse Guides help Mahalo create the best search results pages (SeRPs) on the Internet. Greenhouse Guides create SeRPs in the Mahalo Greenhouse for terms Mahalo has yet to cover, and if our full-time Guides approve the Greenhouse Guides' search results pages, those pages will be moved from the Mahalo Greenhouse to Mahalo and the Greenhouse Guide is paid.

• Register with the Greenhouse! Anyone can join, but in order to be able to claim and work on a search result page, you must send a sample original 200 word Guide Note on any topic to Evan at greenhouse_staff at mahalo dot com.

[edit] Who is the ideal Greenhouse Guide?

• We look for:
  • a. Excellent writing skills
  • b. Online research experience
  • c. Knowledge and passion about specific verticals, such as travel, entertainment, or health
  • d. The desire to help other people

[edit] Do Greenhouse Guides get paid for the search results pages they write?

• Greenhouse Guides are paid for each search result page accepted for inclusion on Mahalo.com. See Freelance Payment Information for full details!

[edit] Who owns the search results pages that Greenhouse Guides write?

• Greenhouse Guides own their search results pages until Mahalo agrees to buy the search results page and add them to Mahalo.com (our public facing search engine). Greenhouse Guides retain ownership of their search results pages if Mahalo does not buy the search results page. See the complete Terms of Service for more information.

[edit] How do you evaluate the search result pages Greenhouse Guides create?

• The search results pages Greenhouse Guides write must comply with Mahalo's guidelines. Mahalo Guides review submitted search results pages and provide feedback according to the standards Mahalo has established. The Mahalo Greenhouse reserves the right to suspend a PTG's ability to create SeRPs if the PTG fails to get a page accepted after three declined submissions.

[edit] Do Greenhouse Guides get credit if their search result page is added to Mahalo?

• If we buy a Greenhouse Guide's search result page and add it to Mahalo, the search result page on Mahalo will credit the Greenhouse Guide as the original author of the page.

[edit] Can Greenhouse Guides write search results pages for any search term?

• Greenhouse Guides can't write search results pages that already exist on Mahalo or search results pages that violate our Terms of Service.
• Search results terms on the Most Wanted List pages are much more likely to be accepted to Mahalo, and will receive priority over terms that are not listed.
• If you wish to create a result that is not on the Most Wanted List:

1. Search Mahalo to see if the page already exists. Check alternate spellings!
2. Search Greenhouse to see if someone else is already working on the term. Check alternate spellings!
3. If the page does not exist, email the lead for the vertical your search term would fall under. If the guide lead approves the search term, they will add it to the Most Wanted List, where it can be claimed!
